Offero Selected as the Volunteer Management System for Colorado Parks and Wildlife

Focused on expanding program impact and volunteer engagement, CPW selects state-of-the-art volunteer management system after multi-year search.

After an extensive market research and bid process, Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) has selected Fort Collins, Colorado-based Offero as its new volunteer management software. The system, named CPW Connect, is expected to launch for all volunteers and the public on July 1, 2021. Offero was selected for its enterprise-grade features, user-friendly interface, and support of CPW’s mission. CPW Connect will be used for volunteer recruitment and onboarding, scheduling, engagement, communication, event management, reporting, and more.

“We are excited for how this new software will help our agency expand and enhance volunteer and community engagement, streamline operations and systems, and improve staff and volunteer experiences,” said Becky Mares, Statewide Volunteer Coordinator with Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

Offero is a cloud-based volunteer management system with the most advanced set of features and functionality on the market. Originally developed by Squarei Technologies in 2012 in collaboration with volunteer coordinators, the top-rated system is unique in that it receives continual enhancements derived straight from customer feedback. Offero unites volunteer management organization-wide and provides helpful tools that allow program staff to focus on the people, not the paperwork.

Other Colorado-based customers of Offero include the cities of Fort Collins, Boulder, Denver, and Longmont; Jefferson County, Larimer County Natural Resources, Loveland Open Lands, and Boulder County Parks and Open Space.

Lindsey Rehder, COO of Squarei Technologies and Offero lead, commented, “The impact that CPW and their volunteer program have on the state of Colorado is boundless. Our team is excited to help them expand their reach even further.”

Colorado Parks and Wildlife is recognized nationally as a leader in conservation, outdoor recreation and wildlife management; responsible for 42 state parks, all of Colorado's wildlife, more than 300 state wildlife areas and a host of recreational programs. CPW has an average of 5,000 volunteers who contribute over 320,000 hours each year. The annual economic impact of their volunteer program is $9.4 million.

“We are confident that CPW Connect will take our volunteer program to the next level,” stated Mares.
